Child care is about animals too!

Earlier this year we received a new addition to our chicken family at Apple Blossoms Early Learning Mooroopna from our South Melbourne centre. The children named her “Sarah” & have become very attached to her. Unfortunately, our chickens weren’t so welcoming!
So we got her her own little chicken coop & she very happily lives in the toddler yard, away from the other playground bullies.
We have been able to have some interesting conversations about this with the children. In fact, it was them who identified that she was getting bullied & came up with a solution to help her.
Just love all the kindhearted, inclusive little people we have at our service!
